I live with my family just outside the beautiful and ancient town of Wimborne Minster, Dorset, in the South of England. The focus of the town is St Cuthburga, founded in AD 705, with its rare chained library, but there are also picturesque water meadows, a theatre and many pubs and restaurants. We are a short drive away from some of England’s best beaches in nearby Bournemouth, Poole and Studland and from the wonderful countryside of the New Forest and Purbecks.

I met Caroline, my wife, at Exeter University and we have been married since 1982. Caroline is a qualified chartered accountant. We have three children, Matthew (14), Simon (12) and Peter (7). Matthew is a keen cricketer. Simon likes football and playing the electric guitar. Peter also enjoys football and tries to play the violin and recorder! All are great fans of Dr Who. Favourite bands are Busted and McFly.
